My Bio
Hi, I'm Marissa!
I’m a proud University of Calgary graduate with a bachelor's degree in psychology. I have also just recently graduated from Mount Royal University with a certificate in UX design! During my undergraduate degree, I developed a passion for user experience and human factors engineering within the tech sector. My work at the moment is mainly revolving around making a positive impact in the lives of others, as you will see from the passion projects I've been working on in my portfolio.
Education
My Schooling
September 2017 - June 2021
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, University of Calgary
Studying at the University of Calgary allowed me to gain many unique experiences that I believe will help me in my career search now and in the future. I learned how to collaborate with others along with doing independent work, how to think critically and creatively when it comes to solving problems, along with finding what my true passion was, being user experience/human factors. Studying here also reminded me of the reason why I wanted to pursue higher education in the first place, which is to help others with what I learn.
January 2022 - September 2022
User Experience (UX) Design Extension Certificate, Mount Royal University
Having taken a course in the field of human factors engineering, studying products and coming up with improved versions of their design became a passion of mine. A passion that I would like to make a career with the help of this certificate program from Mount Royal University.
